Yeah I got that far, but I didn't want to go commenting it out without knowing if the requirement was real or not.

The problem seems to be the statement: use threads; Try commenting it out for now. But we should fix this. e.g. modify Daemon.m:spawn_connection_thread to "use threads" there, and in other places where it's needed.
