No this doesn't matter here. The problem is that the daemon never
received a username from the glue. The integration glue probably did not
detect the username used under Subversion, probably because ...

...yes, probably because subversion/TortoiseSVN did not supply a
username. I'm pretty sure that's what Homer meant in:

I'd like to have the glue break earlier before the request is submitted.
Simon/Homer could you describe the setup you had that caused this
error ? I wonder if there is some other environment variable we could
use when subversion is setup without username/passwords. I'm reoppening
bug 840 to better address this.
