Hi again,

On 6/5/07, Kristis Makris <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
The biggest suggestion I would make is to add your own configuration
under src/tests/product.test/config/testers and test with the subversion
frontend (which is also capable of building a VDD compared to the cvs
testcases):

(cd src/tests; make tests_svn)

Read the very brief doc/DEVELOPING

Can I clarify something... the instructions say:

   # make install; make server-start;

This seems to install and start the daemon.conf from
src/daemon/etc/daemon.conf.template.in.... the next part:

(cd src/tests/product.test/config; ./prep.sh bugzilla dim)

then copies my daemon.conf across and restarts the daemon with the new
config. I'm assuming I have this all right?

When I run the tests atm I get a number of failures. I assume that
product.test/svn/SVN_VERSION_1_4_x/Scmbug.log is the best source of
information for these - is there anywhere else I should be looking?

Regarding the failures - some look like they are explained by the
bugzilla version diff, eg:

*******************************************^M
**^M
**^M
** Scmbug error 7: Bug '1' is not assigned to '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'. It
is assigned to 'bugzilla::user=hash(0x1df81e0)'.^M
Bug '1' is in the 'CLOSED' state, instead of the 'ASSIGNED' or
'REOPENED' states.^M
**^M
**^M
*******************************************^M
^M

But others don't, eg:

FAIL: Add trunk/tags/branches directories
expect: set expect_out(buffer) "expect: set expect_out(buffer)
"expect: set expect_out(buffer) "expect: set expect_out(buffer) "A
   test_file1.txt^M
svn: Commit failed (details follow):^M
svn: '/tmp/testsuite_repository_checkout/trunk' is not under version
control and is not part of the commit, yet its child
'/tmp/testsuite_repository_checkout/trunk/test_file1.txt' is part of
the commit^M

Is this because of the above error, or is it unrelated? I'll make a
start on that first error now and see if that sheds any light.

As an aside, I'm not sure where the windows line feeds come from - do
you see these on yours?

cheers,
dim
