With regard to the mail from Shelley, I am doing something similar to what
you what with ViewVC onto subversion.

I have the following code in global.pl in the bugzilla root folder. some of
this is specific to our systems, so you would need to make some changes.

I hope that it is fairly self explanatory.

I tried to post this onto the bug at
http://bugzilla.mkgnu.net/show_bug.cgi?id=266 but do not have permission.

    my $svnet_rev = qr/(\s\-\-&gt\;\s)(\d+)(\sWindows\ Apps)/i;
    $text =~ s~\b($svnet_rev)
              ~ "$2<a
href=\"http://mel/viewvc/SiteTools.Net?view=rev&revision=$3\";
alt=\"$3\">$3</a>$4"
              ~egox;

    my $svnet_file = qr/(Windows\ Apps:)([a-zA-Z0-9\/\.\-_]+)/i;
    $text =~ s~\b($svnet_file)
              ~ "<a href=\"http://mel/viewvc/SiteTools.Net/$3?view=log\";
alt=\"$1\">$3</a> "
              ~egox;
