Hi Carole, thanks for showing interest in Scmbug. Please send all communication to the mailing list.
Yes, there have been requests in the past to implement support in Scmbug either for the ClearCase SCM system, or the ClearQuest bugtracking system. Kira had requested ClearQuest support about 1.5 years ago, and Kamal requested it about 3.5 years ago. Unfortunately such support has not been implemented yet. I've just gathered previous requests for this work in our issue-tracker: http://bugzilla.mkgnu.net/show_bug.cgi?id=1157 http://bugzilla.mkgnu.net/show_bug.cgi?id=1158 This support has not been implemented probably for two reasons: - The active developers of Scmbug have not shown interest in using ClearCase or ClearQuest -- they probably use free equivalents like Subversion and Bugzilla. Also, these systems are not free, and one needs a copy of them in order to develop and test. - The people that use these systems and requested support for them from Scmbug have not shown interest in implementing it. Since your developers are interested in using a less expensive bug tracker than ClearQuest, and they like Bugzilla, using Scmbug with Bugzilla could be a viable solution. The missing part in this equation would be the ClearCase glueing support in Scmbug. This needs to be implemented in order to take advantage of Scmbug. I would be happy to help anyone, perhaps one of your developers, willing to implement this support. However, at present, I am not in capacity to implement this support myself.
