I did some debugging on Mantis.pm:set_version_type() and cofirmed that version was interpreted correctly and that
$self->{ version_type }
was assigned to $BUGTRACKER_VERSION_LATEST, so apparently everything's
right in this function. Any other point where initialization takes place
and could be wrond?
BTW, dunno if this is relevant, but there's no statement in
/etc/scmbug/daemon.conf to specify where Mantis itself is located, does
SCMBug work directly with its database?

I don't understand why 1.0.8 is rejected.
But you may be able to figure out why by looking at
Mantis.pm:set_version_type().
