Hello Kristis, Thanks very much for your reply.
The linking thing is even better for me. But while I was going through the link you provided yesterday for Autolinking to viewcvs, I saw some patches which are for older version of Bugzilla, which does not work with bugzilla-3.0.3 Bugzilla-3.x.x does not include globals.pl and bigzilla_email_append.pl etc anymore. Due to which patch is failing. And I could not get it working yet. Please let me know if any other workaround exist, so I can do the integration Many Thanks, Ritesh -----Original Message----- From: Kristis Makris [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, September 08, 2008 9:43 PM To: Ritesh Majumdar Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [scmbug-users] Welcome to the "scmbug-users" mailing list(Digest mode) Hi Ritesh, The integration currently does not also add the diff of the file into Bugzilla. This has been suggested in the past, but we believe that it's not "the right thing to do". http://bugzilla.mkgnu.net/show_bug.cgi?id=887 Why do you need the diffs in there ? Isn't that what a version control system, like CVS, is for ? Perhaps you would like a link in Bugzilla that let's you browse through a tool like ViewCVS to view such diffs, but the diffs themselves do not belong in an issue-tracking system. Ideas about such linking are at: http://bugzilla.mkgnu.net/show_bug.cgi?id=266 I hope this helps, Kristis On Mon, 2008-09-08 at 06:47 -0700, Ritesh Majumdar wrote: > Hello List, > > I have recently installed scmbug 0-26-9 version with bugzilla-3.0.3 and it is working.my version control system is CVS. > > My question is: > > Is it possible to add the diff of file from CVS into bugzilla ? > > Please let me know if its possible. > > Thanks, > Ritesh. > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > scmbug-users mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.mkgnu.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/scmbug-users _______________________________________________ scmbug-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.mkgnu.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/scmbug-users
