I think the case for ignoring 3.[012] is quite strong. 3.3 has things like virtuenv and mock standard in the distribution, which, for me, makes it the only Python to use. I am stuck for a while with Python 3.2 though because the Debian Python packagers haven't had time to do all the packaging as yet. Python 3.3 is there but not the plethora of packages. This is though less of a problem now that virtualenv is standard.
