Can you run:
dpkg -S /usr/bin/f77
?
Want to figure out what package this comes from?
I'm running
bdbaddog@hpmicrodog:~/scons/scons$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS
Release: 14.04
Codename: trusty
bdbaddog@hpmicrodog:~/scons/scons$ cat /etc/debian_version
jessie/sid

And I don't get a f77 symlink.. only f95

-Bill
