Wattie is (or I suspect was) an old singer and mandolin player who had
worked for many years as a farmhand at some of the farms around Biggar, in
Lanarkshire. He was a regular performer at East Kilbride and Strathaven folk
clubs and attended many festivals. He always tried to be the first person
to arrive for the Kinross festival. Does that ring any bells?
Regards,
Ted
