I had a nice surprise yesterday: I attended the opening of an exhibition
of a friend of mine in Dundee. Half way through, Sheila Stewart started
singing, and then she inveigled Maureen Jelks and Christine Kydd, who
happened to be at the opening, to sing as well. It was a rare treat, and I
was sorry I couldn't stay for more than a few songs. Christine's first
song was "Yellow On the Broom", which Adam MacNaughton wrote for Sheila,
so it was rather special to be present, and to join in the chorus of that
wonderful song.
