This is sad news for all. Fingers crossed for some sort of recovery. I
haven't read about it in the press; was it the costs of keeping the
building going? One of the reasons the Adult learning Project (ALP) in
Edinburgh manages so well, I think, is the support given by Community
Education, so they don't have the costs of keeping the fabric of a
building in one piece (almost all our classes are in two schools at which
other evening classes are being held). There is a dream to have a building
to call our own, but that will inevitably brings its own peculiar problems
with it.
