I would like to open this out to everyone on this list: Please send me a
letter (email would do, but a 'real' letter might be thought more convincing
by some of the 'non-computerised' people I might have to deal with) in
support of a) a plaque commemorating the birth and life of James Oswald, b)
an exhibition c) a concert. If you have made a recording of anything by
Oswald, please send it to me at this address: Rob MacKillop, 37 Albert
Street, Tayport, Fife DD6 9AT, Scotland. The CDs will not become part of my
collection, but will become part of the exhibition, which will hopefully
become a touring one. If you would like to play in the concert, send me
details - even if you live on the other side of the world. I am not saying
that there will be money available to book you, but I will try to make it an
international event.

A good idea. Possibly the Scottish Music Information Centre (SMIC - they
have a website somewhere) do? I'll check on that.

I have performed that edition but ended up writing my own viola line.
David's is far too Purcellian.
It's great to hear that Oswald is being played around the world. Please send
