The tune was "Primrose Lass", and yes, I received it, thanks,
Alexander. For others on the list, I posted the following to the Cape
Breton music list, and a few people informed me what the tune was
called.

I teach Scots music to adults in evening classes with the Adult
Learning Project (ALP) in Edinburgh. At the end of term all the music
classes get together and each perform for the others. One of my fellow
tutors is Gillian Boucher from Cape Breton, and one of the tunes in her
class's set captured my ears, but she doesn't know if it has a name.
Does anyone recognise it?

As to the history of "The Primrose Lass", The Fiddler's Companion
states that it's "probably Irish", although the way Gillian played it
was quite Scottish.
