Count me in, Philip. I have a copy of the collection already, so all we
need do is sort out which tunes NOT to do.

No it's not. ABC is dead simple, and I think of it as the digital age
equivalent of sol-fa notation. Many collectors used sol-fa to jot down
songs as they were being sung, and sol-fa was notatable (I've just
invented a new word) on any typewriter. ABC is similar, and can be
notated using any keyboard, or even pencil and paper (which I now do in
libraries in preference to standard notation). You can use software to
hear it or convert it to std notation, but it isn't necessary; it
exists on its own.
