I really must get out of digest mode and into the real time mode. There is
almost a weeks worth of material in one digest.
Fortunately, there have been no new cases of foot and mouth disease in
Berwickshire or Scottish Borders since the two cases last week near Duns.
We all hope that we shall see no more here. However visitors to Coldstream
will be reminded about not walking on farm land.

If you are coming to Coldstream on the Friday you might not be able to get
a programme. Hre is the info for Friday Night.

So, do go to the British Legion, behind the Parish church on the south
side of the High Street, for the singing session.
Instrumental sessions will be going on in;
The White Swan, first pub on the right if you are coming from the
Edinburgh or Kelso direction. You might meet some list members there.
Also the Red Lion and the Crown- go down right in the middle of the town
to the Market Square, again coming from Edinburgh or Kelso.

Or start you own in the Castle Inn, the Besom, the Commercial or the
Newcastle Arms.

If you are coming a very long way, and/or wish to take a workshop where
you would expect to have an instrument provided, beginners clarsach
please get in touch with the organisers 01573 224920 or 01890 882599 for
prior booking.

If you are coming for workshops on Saurday morning, go straight to the
Primary school. You have to go through the whole town if you are driving
from Edinburgh side, and turn left along Guards road,( or just about first
right from the English side ) left along Duns Road and then right.
Pedestrians will have a much shorter route from the High Street.

For tickets go to the festival office on the North Side of the High St -
the St Cuthberts Centre - a ex church (?) opposite the Newcastle Arms.

We hope you will enjoy your weekend in Coldstream.

Philip
