Thank you, Nigel. Yes, I'm a fiddler - or working at it anyway. Mairi Campbell's playing of "Marjorie Campbell" from the Cast's album "The Winnowing" is one of my favorites. She plays the first section down low at first, then up high the second time through, covering 2 octaves in all - in A minor, too. That influenced me - along with my mood. I love to play the minor tunes, anyway. There's something so compelling about them.
