Some time ago David Greenberg asked me if I knew of a slow air called
"Gight Castle", in C minor.

I've just heard it on the radio - the second part of tonight's "Take
the Floor" was about a new book and CD of the compositions of Hector
MacAndrew. It's one of his. The programme will be repeated tomorrow
night at 6.05pm our time (note, British Summer Time starts tonight)
and will be streamed on the Radio Scotland website. (The tune is
very similar to Angus Fitchet's "Lament for Will Starr", and on first
hearing I didn't like it as much).

I didn't catch the details of where to order the book and CD, anyone
know? Somewhere in Carnwath.

BTW, the Bella McNab Band was a breath of fresh air after the usual
accordion-heavy Take the Floor sound.
