In the Gesto Collection (1895) p35, it says "The Maids of Arrochar" is
by John Macdonald, Dundee, but doesn't give any more information. It's
also in the Skye Collection where it has the same attribution.

As to whether it's played much, I haven't heard it played at all, that
I can remember. However, I transcribed it after an Irish musician had
heard it in a session in the USA. Now I can't find that correspondence,
so I can't remember the details. I can ask him again.
