Different man, Jack. This Tony McManus (who sometimes called himself
Antony Mac Manus to differentiate) was a journalist, translater,
songwriter and singer (amongst other things, I'm sure). He translated
Brassens, Brel etc into Scots and performed occasionally with a vocal
group called The Birlinn Ensemble (John Greig and Johnny Cradden were
other members). I think he may have had some songs on the Songs Under
the Bed series, but they're in the cellar and I'm not, so I can't
confirm.
