Why do these programs work >with some sound files and not others? > >Kate Roni Music's "Amazing Slow Downer" works great with CDs or wav files. Midi files are a completely different thing. They aren't sound files at all, but data files with instructions to your midi device (keyboard, soundcard, etc) to play notes for a specified length of time. You should be able to find many shareware or even freeware programs that will play midi files at any speed. But actual recordings on CD or wav file are much more complex and only a handful of programs are around right now that can slow them down. http://www.danmozell.com Posted to Scots-L - The Traditional Scottish Music & Culture List - To subscribe/unsubscribe, point your browser to: http://www.tullochgorm.com/lists.html
