Angus is beautiful, and rural rather than remote. There is a lot of music scattered through its glens. Kirrie seems to be the current session hot spot, but don't forget that Dundee and surrounds are not far away. Contact Christine Kydd as Dave suggests. However... some small towns have a lot of social problems and some of these places would need a bit of care, particularly if you have kids and are concerned about schools etc. The Bella McNabs played in Kirrie last year, and a brick arrived through a window at one point in the evening.
