Did fusion bands such as The Rhythmics use trumpet? I only have one of
their records ("Scotch Jigs and Reels" which I'd guess comes from the
30s) and no other info, but it may be a lead. I'll listen to it later
and see if it qualifies. William Hannah's band often used a trumpet,
from about 1937 till sometime after 1945, but I don't know who it was.
I'm trying to remember if Bob Smith's Ideal Band ever used a trumpet,
but my memory fails me.
Doesn't John Wallace (RSAMD) - who has played trumpet in a Scottish
music setting - know any nice nuggets? Keep us informed of progress.
