Martin,

The XF86Config file depends on what type of monitor, mouse, video card
and keyboard you have.

You could try using a program to edit it; there is XF86Setup which is
graphical (it starts an X-server which will run on almost any hardware,
you may need to set the mouse stuff using the keyboard though) and
xf86config which is text based but tends to be a pain to use.

These may or may not be included with your distro. SuSE also comes with
a program called sax, which I found to be useless but perhaps other
people have had better luck?

If you post your hardware details to the list you may be lucky enough to
find someone with hardware which matches yours, in which case their
XF86Config file will work.
