Hi Folks

Has anyone tried connecting through NTL cable modem with linux? I got a line installed, and the modem they sent was a Motorola Surfboard SB4100. I am using it under windows at the minute using a USB connection. Just wondered if anyone had tried it successfully under Linux?

Speedwise it si great, usually getting a combined download rate of about 50K with a few files downloading, Downloading the 2 iso images of mandrake now, and then will probably get redhat7.0 (Is it any better than 6.2?). If anyone on the list needs anything downloaded and put on a cdr, just ask

Also wanting to change distros from redhat which I have gone off, going to try mandrake, and see how I go. But not sure what to go for, Not fussed on paying for SuSe, since i have a fast enough connection to download any distro i want, any ideas, suggestions?

Looking for somthing that is fairly easy to setup, initially, without much problems
