Chaps,

Need a bit of advice about a hard disc problem. My HD is making random
clunking noises and when in command line mode I get the following messages
fly up the screen:-

hda: dma_intr: status=0x51  { DriveReady SeekCopmplete Error}
hda: dma_intr: error=0x84   { DriveSatusError BadCRC}
hda: dma_intr: status=0x53  { DriveReady SeekComplete Index Error}

Is this a sign of the HD about to die, or is it recverable.
The PC still works but just makes noise and locks up for a couple of seconds
now and again.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Frank.
