Well, my inbox isn't overflowing with responses. What _do_ people want to
hear about?
(I though it would have been interesting, Kevin)
I don't think any of our scheduled speakers stand up and talk without
putting a lot of time and thought into their presentation, so feedback and
direction is important. Similarly, attendance at the monthly meetings
really took off when the formal presentations started so there does seem to
be some demand for technical talks.
I'm obviously not embarassed by my ignorance - top of my list of things to
hear about:
Perl programming, particularly CGI & DBD
C tools - gdb, make & co.
GPG/PGP encryption
ssh
internet telephony
legislation regarding development & use of software
There are some areas I've done (a little) research into and I could be
convinced to give a introductory talk on:
intrusion detection systems
content control
Meanwhile, can anybody recommend some cheap/free games for Linux?
Colin
