install xkeycaps and xmodmap, then run xkeycaps and follow the
instructions.

I use them to remap whatever stupid keyboard I'm using to a modified
UK layout (caps lock becomes control, alt becomes meta, windows
becomes hyper).

BTW, how comfy are the happy hacking keyboards? I'm looking to replace
the one I'm using at home and am swithering between one of those and
an ergonomic one (which is what I use at work, it's dead comfy but
somewhat large)
