Hello, I'm having great fun trying to get Unreal Tournament to work in linux.
I've downloaded and installed the new 436 Installer for it. I installed it (but i had to copy over the maps manually (is this normal?)) and then i ran it. It came up with the following.: Unreal engine initialized Bound to SDLDrv.so Joystick [0] : Unknown Joystick SDLClient initialized. Bound to Render.so Lighting subsystem initialized Rendering initialized LoadMap: Entry Bound to Fire.so Case-insensitive search: Botpack -> /usr/local/games/ut/System/BotPack.u Bound to IpDrv.so Game class is 'UTIntro' Level is Level Entry.MyLevel Bringing Level Entry.MyLevel up for play (0)... My machine is a 500MHz PIII, 128mb, ATi Rage Pro LT AGP, its a Laptop. Its running Mandrake 8.1 with xfree86 4.0.2 ( i think, its the version 4 that comes with Mandrake). I remeber someone suggesting that i turn on DGA extensions or somthing, and that would _probally_ speed other games up. Thanks in advance Welby -------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.lug.org.uk http://www.linuxportal.co.uk http://www.linuxjob.co.uk http://www.linuxshop.co.uk --------------------------------------------------------------------
