ComCal are MASSIVELY overpriced - I never use them for that reason. Believe
it or don't, if you can wait for things beyond the "emergency use" or
"impulse buy" requirements, eBay is an excellent place for strange and
wonderful kit and accessories. I bought a very cheap PowerMac a couple of
years back, and got the VGA converters I needed for the video-out very
cheaply and (in eBay terms) very quickly.

Sounds like a certain warehouse sized retailer of PC goods over in
Finnieston ... the amount of wee cables and silly things I've bought from PC
World over the years because they were 120 seconds from my old work ...
still, PC World have a nice bargain bin section (to the right of the
checkouts these days at Finnieston), which is very handy for end-of-line
Belkin cables and accessories at reasonable prices, amongst other things.
