Well to be honest, and this probably wasnt the best way of doing things, but I added each user to the system, I'd been intending on migrating services over to linux and I wanted this machine to handle the email as well, so it made sense to add them all individually.
I'm sure if you use the force user tag in the smb.conf file you shouldnt have any problems. -----Original Message----- From: apostolus [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 04 February 2002 10:55 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [scottish] Sage on Samba Thanks Darren. Did you have any issues with users logging in? I mean, did you have to map all users (in my case three) to one UNIX user? thanks, apost -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Paxton, Darren Sent: 04 February 2002 10:40 To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: RE: [scottish] Sage on Samba I did this in my previous position but with Line 100, just make sure that the drive mappings are all ok and the clients can connect to the relevant directories properly. Shouldnt have any problems really!! -----Original Message----- From: apostolus [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 04 February 2002 10:31 To: SLUG Subject: [scottish] Sage on Samba Hi Group I want to install sage Line 50 and run it off my Linux Server so that all three of us in the office can access the data simultaneously. Is there anything glaringly obvious I should watch out for before I start to build. The client PCs all run Windows OSs. I have SuSE 7.2 on a DELL Poweredge 1400. cheers, apost -------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.lug.org.uk http://www.linuxportal.co.uk http://www.linuxjob.co.uk http://www.linuxshop.co.uk -------------------------------------------------------------------- *************************** IMPORTANT NOTE ************************** The above information is confidential to the addressee and may be privileged.
