Hi all - just joined the Scottish LUG listing and am _fascinated_ by the
variety of issues under discussion!

Like Harry, I'd definitely be interested in a 'newbie's night' for Linux.
I've gone for RH7.2 just now, which has the advantage of being well
documented: I bailed out of Mandrake 8.0 because I couldn't get documentation
to help with any questions I had.

Now I've got printers working, modem working, and my system to talk to Palm
handhelds (and a Visor through USB). Linux _rocks_!

My interests now are in getting Csound and other music programmes to work.

This message printed on recycled electrons....

Neil.
