Yes, very nice update system and if you want some sort of graphic config 
that is in apt to.

Yea, that is all there as well, hell, even the nvidia drivers are in apt 
(I use debain and play quake 1/2/3 arena all the time)

Again, it is in debian, you have to add a line to your apt sources to 
get it, but it is there and the package devel is VERY active.
