That might work, but sounds dangerous. I don't know the specifics for SVGALib, but usually the numbers are different for a reason ;^P Your best bet is to get the source for libsvga v1.x from somewhere, compile and install in /usr/local/lib. Usually that's as simple as "./configure && make && make install", but you'd have to check with the library docs. Also, you may need to add /usr/local/lib to the /etc/ld.so.conf file and rerun ldconfig.
