Here's another recommendation solicitation. A friend of mine works from home and so do his employees. They want a VPN setup so they can have a secure central file store and possibly a secure IMAP mail store. Samba over VPN should be fun.
I reckon that they need external hosting if they want some guarantee of reliability, there is no way I'll recommend that they use the bosses XP Home machine.
OneAndOne (www.oneandone.co.uk) seem to have a good solution with their root servers at Â29 a month with Â49 a month access to the backup servers, but their support appears to be pants (have not emailed me back to answer my questions about the root servers).
Anyone recommend a (preferably Scottish) hosting company that can help for a reasonable price?
