Thank you all very much for your expressions of interest in sitting LPI exams.
I have intimated the level of enthusiasm back to LPI and hope to confirm that a rep
will come up to Edinburgh to set up a test centre after the Linuxuser conference.

        Now then, when I said 'free' exams, I guess I meant free as in speech, not as
in beer. I made a mistake. LPI levy a Â15 administration charge for the exams. This
was my mistake, I do apologise. I hope the small fee will not put people off taking
their certification exams.

        Many people asked about resources and study guides. LPI exams are very tough,
even veery experienced System Administrators can fall down on LPI101, so you need to
know your stuff inside out.

        You should al read through the LPI exam objectives at;

        I can also highly reccomend http://www.lpiforums.com

        We are running a small pilot peer study group for LPI101 starting 2nd April.
The group is full right now, but I'll let you know if and when we run another.

        When I have confirmed details of exam dates, I will mail again asking people
to formally register. Meantime, enjoy cramming.

        Regards,

        P
