Having successfully installed 9.2 Professional, I am now having printer trouble. Installation with Yast was a doddle and its test printing of text only, graphics and text and photo worked fine. But when I try to print a document from openoffice or a plain text file from the desktop, PS output is sent to the printer and it prints one line of gobbledeygook then lots of blank pages. Where am I going wrong? Regards Rob
My old HP Laserjet 6P, 1998 vintage only seems to provide PCL. Postscript was only available on sister model Laserjet 6MP.
I had problems installing an Epson C44UX on Suse9.1, which I resolved by installing 'lib gimp-print'. After this things went quite smoothly.
According to the info at the following link your printer may be supported:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/gimp-print/print/NEWS?rev=1.93
but check out www.linuxprinting.org for up to date info and download link.
regards,
Magnus
