-------- Public event: "The Future of Artificial Intelligence" School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh
-------- As part of a symposium devoted to the work of Prof Alan Bundy in the area of Artificial Intelligence, there will be a public afternoon session on Sunday 13th July, with the theme of the future of Artificial Intelligence. This will be held in Lecture Theatre 1 of the Appleton Tower, Crichton St, Edinburgh, 2:00-5:30 pm. Two experienced leading European researchers, Fausto Giunchiglia from Italy and Joerg Siekmann from Germany, will present their personal overviews of the future possibilities made available by recent technological advances. There will also be a round table on the topic, involving speakers from the symposium, and opportunity to interact with researchers in the area. The presentations will be accessible to the general public, and provide a unique occasion to gain insight into research trends in AI. All those interested are warmly encouraged to attend and participate in this event. Afterwards, there will be a reception held in the Informatics Forum - our new, state-of-the-art building for Informatics research - which will have just been formally opened and will be hosting its first event. This is just across the road from Appleton Tower. All are welcome to attend. Please forward this to anyone else you think might be interested. _______________________________________________ Scottish mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/scottish
