I've been looking into and using the Twisted Reactor means you either 
understand Scrapy internals really well, or you understand Twisted really 
well. I was messing with Python generators, signal calling, and using 
Reactor to no avail. I'm sure it's possible but it's not in code anywhere 
online so that should tell you something.
