Hello scrapy and scrapyd users, Today, we are releasing scrapyd-1.2.0 alpha 1. This new release will introduce several features, the most important being full python3 compatibility put together by scrapy developer Paul Tremberth. Other updates include some deprecations and more configurability. A full list of updates and enhancements will soon be published here and in the changelog.
Pre-releases are not considered ready for production environments. Personally however, I think slightly-experienced scrapyd users will have no trouble trying it out in a well-monitored system. The scrapyd codebase is small and the updates in this release are unlikely to break anything.
