Tested on:
- Dell Vostro 1520, Ubuntu 9.10: This is my dev mc so I extracted all
the files into a tmp dir but did put the WeDo udev rules file in correct
location. Internal webcam ok, PA play/record from both int/ext mic ok,
WeDo motor/tilt/distance ok.
- Acer Aspire Revo R3600, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS: Clean install from package.
Camera via ext webcam ok, WeDo motor/tilt/distance ok, PA play ok. No PA
recording via ext mic, not a Scratch problem (yet) because Ubuntu
"Sound" prefs does not show any
activity from the mic.
(external webcam: Logitech E3500)
Help/About still has date 30-Nov-09.
Btw, I could not locate the Scratch wiki page that I put together for
Linux webcam users.

Hi Michael,
We need a beta tester! :)
Can you test a new Scratch on Linux package that should work with the
WeDo?
You can download it here:
http://ubuntuone.com/p/vp0/
It's a package for i386 architecture, but if you need to you can
install it on amd64 machines following the instructions here:
http://info.scratch.mit.edu/Scratch_on_Linux
On my system it can take about 10 seconds for Scratch to find the
WeDo, and add the new blocks. But once it does, they all seem to work.
Thanks,
Amos
