Hi to all,

please can somebody help me with our problem ? Maybe it is not good job
for scratchbox and I should use another techique. Any comments and help
are welcomed!

We are doing some projects to embed software into exotic architectures.
We are doing even apt repositories for debian. Our problem is
developement server. We need some server where students will have access
to develop packages. We want to use more projects and their
combinations, to create packages and repositories (scratchbox,
openembeded, openwrt, ...) .

We just instaled debian etch base with xen and we are thinking about
future, what to do.

Best result would be to have some "shared" toolchains for projects. So
we do not have to install more operating systems in xen (debian sarge,
etch, ubuntu edgy, feisty, and more architectures (i386, x86-64,
mips, .....) so scratchbox looks reasonable for this.

But do you think scratchbox is ready for this? Is it possible to make
toolchain fot ubuntu, debian, i386, x86-64, mips? I know there is script
for building toolchains, but I am not sure how to use native toolchains
from ubuntu or debian without instaling entire system.

I like scratchbox because any student can log in and can select another
toolchain, does not have to be root and there is very easy cleanup after
it..

Thank you for any help!
