Time for another reminder that the sbox2 project is making progress. Latest
tagged release (1.99.0.9) addresses some fundamental issues with compiler
driving and path mappings. I've built around 70 different components with
it, and it can produce healthy armel .debs for Maemo. Build dependencies
are now checked against the host system, which is better than before
but still not quite perfect.

I think libtool is now working properly, although I will not give any
guarantees.

Installation and configuration is much simplified, please read the README,
even if you've installed sb2 previously.

Go to http://freedesktop.org/Software/sbox2 for all the practicalities.

Most important missing feature is debian package installation. If you
have some ideas how to handle a foreign debian rootfs (with or without
sbox2), I would appreciate hearing about them! What's needed is
apt-get dist-upgrade, apt-get install and dpkg -i. apt-get update works
already.

regards, Lauri
