I'm not sure at the moment. > 2) After compiling some simple packages I've tried to build packages > with some dependencies. > In SB1 I was simply installing packages "into target" using standard > procedures like "make install" or "dpkg -i". > What technique should replace "installing into target" in SB2? > Should it work like in SB1 and just broken at the moment or another > method is proposed for that? sb2 -e apt-get install the_package I don't know if it works, I've never had a sufficiently healthy target rootfs to try it. It should, and is a bug if it doesn't. > 3) Is SB2 now in state that it can be used for active development? > On official homepage i don't see any reasons to not use SB2, am i > wrong? > BTW: I am aware of possible bugs and difficulties that may appear > :-) I think it is, especially after the .19 release the target config system is probably relatively stable, so any upgrades shouldn't cause too much breakage. Bugs there still are, like compiling stuff that has some funky python modules with shared objects may not work. Same for perl, maybe. > 4) What kind of help can i propose to the developer/s? The wiki could be expanded to include some basic documentation and examples, I would love to get more patches from other people, even detailed bugreports filed at the fdo bugzilla would be nice. /lauri _______________________________________________ Scratchbox-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.scratchbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/scratchbox-devel
