The 0.9.8 branches don't install properly, but the following failures are
reported and then
the final configuration fails:
(Reading database ... 89441 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking scratchbox-libs (from .../scratchbox-libs_0.9.8.8_i386.deb) ...

Note that 0.9.8.x is not recommended for use anymore, and despite the
big fat warning in maemo.org the 2.1 SDK works with Apophis too (at
least in my experience).
