I am also now seeing this problem after upgrading to Ubuntu Feisty. Unfortunately, the suggested solution doesn't seem to work. The stuff under proc does not seem to behave like a normal file system: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/vdso bash: /proc/sys/kernel/vdso: No such file or directory Could this be considered as a bug in Ubuntu Feisty? Does anyone know of an existing Launchpad bug report for it? > On 20/02, Claudio Scordino wrote: > > Hi, > > > > one user experienced the following issue on a Debian/Etch: > > > > No directory, logging in with HOME=/ > > Inconsistency detected by ld.so: rtld.c: 1192: dl_main: Assertion `(void *) > > ph->p_vaddr == _rtld_local._dl_sysinfo_dso' failed! > > > > I suggested him to do a > > > > echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/vdso > > > > as explained in > > > > http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/maemo/developers/17781 > > > > Is this the right solution to the problem ? > > > > BTW, what does VCSO mean ? -- Murray Cumming [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.murrayc.com www.openismus.com _______________________________________________ Scratchbox-users mailing list Scratchbox-users@lists.scratchbox.org http://lists.scratchbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/scratchbox-users
