I am using scratchbox to build a root file system for a Core (2) Duo based
system with the toolchain provided
by the package scratchbox-toolchain-i686-linux-ct4.1.0-2.3.6tls-1.0.4

When compiling the linux kernel I get the following message:
init/main.c:83:2: warning: #warning gcc-4.1.0 is known to miscompile the
kernel. A different compiler version
is recommended.

I wonder if some patch has been applied to the compiler before this toolchain
was built to solve the issues
that led to the warning above or if the issues happen under rare circumstances
so that I do not need to worry
about it.

Thank you.

Elder.
