I've got a project that may require deploying on an ARM processor based board.
After several days of poking around, I've got a Gentoo installation that'll
cross-compile for ARM.. that was easy.. When I got to thinking about the *nix
installation aspect, I'm pretty sure I was heading down the wrong path.

What I'm stuck on now is the trying to find an easy/efficient way to build disk
images that could be dumped on flash drive, CD, ROM, etc for deployment to the
device. Preferably images that could be run under QEMU for testing. At this
point the actual hardware is up in the air other than the most likely cpu being
ARM.

Am I even close to the right track here? Or should I 'move along' and look for
other tools/methods?

Perhaps I just need to buy a good book ;-)

tia.
