You mean between screen 9 and screen 10? Very strange.

Do not use screen 0, start with screen 1 instead. Make ^A0 switch to
window 10 instead of 0.

(e.g. put
    bind c screen 1
    bind 0 select 10
    screen 1
at the end of your ~/.screenrc file)
