I recently discovered problem with dynamic update of caption string.
In my ~/.screenrc i have:
caption always '%{= Kw}%-Lw%{r}(%{+b .W}%50>%n%f*%t%{r})%{-b .w}%+Lw%<'
i started two windows with shell in screen. In first window i
typed:
$ print -Pn "\ektest start\e\\"; sleep 3; print -Pn "\ektest
done\e\\" <RET>
In caption string "test start" appeared, then i switched to next
window and wait for 3 seconds. After 3 seconds nothing changed, "test
start" has remained in caption string. On the other hand, if i dont
switch and stay in first window then "test done" appears.
